COMMUNITY BUILDING

CREATIVES FOR CLIMATE ACTION - THAILAND (CCAT)

CCAT is an initiative uniting artists, designers, filmmakers, policymakers and community members around the intersection of climate action and cultural practice in Thailand.

Launched with a landmark conference at the Thailand Creative & Design Center (TCDC) in Bangkok in June 2024, CCAT has grown into an ongoing platform for exchange, collaboration and advocacy within the creative sector. Its activities have included toolkit workshops, symposia and a dedicated hub at Bangkok 1899 — all designed to help cultural practitioners reduce their environmental footprint and embed climate thinking into their work.

In November 2025, CCAT brought this work to the global stage, participating in the official COP30 program at the Thailand Pavilion with a cross-regional dialogue between cultural leaders from Asia-Pacific and Latin America — exploring how creativity, governance and community collaboration can drive a just transition for the culture sector.
