BRIDGE
Beyond Mobility: Toward Deeper Cultural Exchange
BRIDGE is an international residency framework led by New Art Exchange (Nottingham, UK) that brings together partner organizations across four distinct cultural, civic and institutional contexts — intentionally built around difference rather than uniformity. Rather than exporting a single model of exchange, BRIDGE is shaped by the specific social, cultural, and political conditions of each host city, with a shared commitment to Global Ethnic Majority leadership, place-based practice and genuine reciprocity.
In early 2027, Creative Migration will host a BRIDGE resident artist at Bangkok 1899. The residency invites a participatory or co-creative artist to develop socially engaged, environmentally responsive work that connects communities in Bangkok with audiences in Nottingham, exploring how everyday life and local ecology shape both shared and divergent experiences across the two cities.
BRIDGE is conceived as a long-term framework for institutional partnership and shared learning, not a one-off exchange. Over time, it aims to support not only artist development, but deeper conversations about how international cultural work can be more grounded, reciprocal, and accountable to the communities it connects.
