Open Engagement

Open Engagement is an artist-led, itinerant conference dedicated to expanding dialogue around socially engaged art, taking place in a different city each year so its programming stays site- and context-specific.

Creative Migration presented a panel discussion at the 2011 Open Engagement conference in Portland, reflecting on the organization's past, present, and future work, alongside a preview screening of its film The Green American Road Trip.

The conference reflects Creative Migration's early and ongoing engagement with the broader socially engaged art field, connecting its Los Angeles- and Bangkok-based work to a wider international community of practitioners.
