The First Human Born In Space

The First Human Born In Space is a transmedia project composed primarily of short films written and directed by Jasmin Blasco, produced by Pico Studio in partnership with Creative Migration.

The project's narrative framework has extended into live performance, most notably Welcome to You, a guided meditation and visualization exercise performed by Jordan Rountree, built from Blasco's concept, music, and script, and facilitated by Creative Migration. Through a series of meditative vignettes, the work invites participants to treat mindfulness as a creative act, examining how meditation and storytelling shape our relationship to time. Welcome to You has been performed at Baert Gallery and Tappan Atelier.

Alongside Blasco's related project VVFA, The First Human Born In Space reflects Creative Migration's ongoing interest in facilitating speculative, cross-disciplinary work that uses inner life and imagined futures as tools for reflection.
