Creative Migration presented The Pink Period by Tiffany Singh as the exhibition marking Bangkok 1899's Grand Opening, held September 7 to 8, 2019, with the exhibition itself running through November 10, 2019.

During her three-month residency, Singh used a multidisciplinary approach to transform Bangkok 1899 into an immersive social practice hub, exploring the narrative of women's liberation through objects of the domestic. She collaborated with other women artists, including Taiwanese artist Jui-Pin Chang, building on research from the Women's Art Project Asia developed during Singh's earlier residency at Taipei Artist Village. Throughout, Singh cared for her two young children while building the exhibition, modeling a new paradigm for supporting women artists who are also mothers.

The Pink Period set the tone for Bangkok 1899's ongoing commitment to socially engaged, women-centered programming, tying directly to the space's founding mission of art, public engagement, and sustainability.
